It’s a New Year and so I thought I would update the highly successful Recession Proof post. Instead of jumping on you and making you feel like you aren’t hustling hard this time I am going to go all solutions for you. Obama will be sworn in on the 20th and you will be riding the second messiah type euphoric wave in your body so we need you to move on this information today. Don’t let Obama down by you thinking you can hustle tomorrow HUSTLE today!
Who’s hiring?
- Tax Preparers – H&R Block, Liberty Tax, and the rest are all hiring right now. This is a excellent hustle for the next 4 months and they want you to come in in the afternoon and night. I think they are paying about 8 to 10 bucks a hour and believe you me people are going to get their tax refunds early this year.
- Trash - Waste Management in any town should be alright and pretty recession proof. I’ve never seen when the Trash Men stopped picking shit up because they were cutting back. You are still going to be throwing things away whether that be the 99 cent green beans or the 3 dollar cauliflower.
- Debt Collectors – “If I knew I would do” I would open me one of these tomorrow if I knew the angle. How many people are losing houses, cars repoed, late on bills, and the like. The call centers for these places must be ringing off the hook.
- Credit Negotiators – “If I knew I would do” Same cats who are getting heckled by the debt collectors need someone to jump in and negotiate with everyone. I know you see the commercials where they will lower your bills and the like saying they are doing it for free but c’mon you see the hustle. They probably take some money off of your new lower shit so they got to be hiring too.
- Foreclosure Services – Someone has to clean out those foreclosed houses. Someone has to put up the gates and maintain the yards. Someone has to sell all the free shit everyone left in their house right? Moving companies that are connected to the banks are probably in high demand because the banks aren’t doing that shit. So if all you got is a willingness to clean up do that.
- Crisis Hotlines – I know it’s sad but some motherfuckers need someone to talk to and why can’t that be you. You don’t think people are pannicking and need some encouragement. I know you already do it for free but why not take that skill and get money for it.
- Bankruptcy Law Firms – I know you think you aren’t a lawyer but shit about 90% of the people in there aren’t either. Get in where you fit in on this one but for sure these firms are getting ready for a boom of litigation so they will be hiring into the future. From the copy room to their messengers they will be hiring soon.
- Process Servers – I don’t know how to get into this hustle but someone has to put the foreclosure stickers on the door. Someone has to serve motherfuckers papers for all this shit.
- Security Guards – Someone has to watch things if they get out of hand. Rent A Cops are funny but you know they are making money.
Overall the foreclosure issue creates a tidal wave of papers that have to be filed, collected and organized. It creates all kind of legal issues that need to trained people to complete properly. It creates all kind of motherfuckers on the ground to clean the shit up. Now put your benefiting off of others emotional tragedy shit aside this is where the money is so ADJUST!
The Business -
- Moving Companies – You got a van and you know someone at the bank you can help move the shit out of the foreclosures. Banks are not going to do that shit they are looking to hire someone.
- Cleaning service – Someone’s got to clean this shit too and make sure it’s able to be sold and not going to pot
- Lawn Care Services – Banks don’t want the tall grass growing on the vacants before the squatters come in an sit on it.
- Security Services – The crazier this shit gets the more someone has to watch it for them.
- 99 cent stores – Commercial rent is cheap and believe it or not if you look for them there are alot of companies carrying knick knack bullshit that will sell it to you. People are always looking for a deal give them the deal. The 99cent stores are making a killing. Don’t you wish you can sell a fork for 1 buck knowing you bought the shit for 3 cents. Ka-Ching
I know I didn’t give a lot but realistically until they correct the fact you think your house is worth double what is was before the bubble, that mentality is fucking everything up.
The Money in Stocks-
- Ford – I still like this stock they are up there saying they don’t need the money at all. They just want a line of credit. They sold Range Rover and Jaguar to Tata Motors in India earlier this year so they will survive and it’s only like 2 bucks now.
- Food companies like Tyson, Smithfield foods and the like are all going to do better. The commodity/feed prices have fallen so the stocks will rise. Plus they are supplying your staples like chicken and pork.
- Frozen Foods – Probably the biggest gainers in the coming year people are eating the cheap shit 99 cent frozen peas so these companies are going to do really good. Keep looking at your frozen section in your supermarket and you’ll see way more stuff being sold soon.
- Discounters – 99 Cent store only, Big Lots, Kmart, Wal Mart will all do well this year so look there.
Stocks this time is holding them and going to sleep don’t expect big money yet. The future money is in finding out who supplies BRAZIL, INDIA and CHINA. They are developing a middle class in the coming year or two and they will be buying all kinds of shit. I am trying to come up with anything to sell to Brazil I would love for that to be a business trip for me. See you in Rio balling, I’ll be the guy not wearing Speedos!
Real Property Real Money-
- Foreclosures – Now I’m new to this shit but have been reading alot. So I have come up with my way of valuing properties. 1) Find the median income of the zipcode (citydata.com) 2) Find the current rents for apartments in the same are for your 2brdm & 3bdrm properties (craigslist.org) 3) Mulitply the median income by 3 and see if you can find a property less than that. The mortgage and all costs usually equal 1% of the selling price so then you see if its less than what’s currently being offered in rent. Don’t worry as I do I’ll show you what I did so you can learn along with me. February is when I start buying houses.
- Mortgage Rates – I hear they are going to lower the mortgage rate to 3.5% and if that happens then the foreclosures will be even more affordable and my 1% of property value is not valid. It will be lower than that but it’s easier for me to calculate at 1%.
Solution: Either you’re in it or in the way! No matter what anyone tells you this is the time to get rich. Get your side hustle going, invest in stocks, buy frozen foods and look at some cheap rental property. It’s just a cycle you just have ask yourself are you going to be on a triCylce, biCycle or a motorCycle to really capitalize on this time in life.

The last time I was in Brazil, they were selling sneakers at ridiculous prices. So I was thinking if I can set up an online store selling that shit, I could make a killing. Most stocks are good buys right now. The market seems to be stabilizing before the next big drop. It’s been around 8500 for the past three months.
When buying houses – make sure that the rent can pay off the loan over about a ten year (or less) period (taxes and-up keep included) that way it pays for itself. Paint all of your houses the same colors – there is no reason to have to match paints. WalMart brand is fine for rentals.Stick to “Gaucho” for walls and white for casings and mouldings. On the exterior – us two similar colors to the interior. Neutrals work best. Water your lawns when vacant to add curb appeal. Fix anything as soon as it breaks (you will have many).

You could aways buy in bundles from the banks and resale them one at a time.

Hustles work best when one uses what they already have. I was giving away small sego palm trees that I’d dig from beneath my bigger trees. I’d set them in my front yard in pots for my neighbors to take. Some guy knocked on my door and bought 20 at $20 a pop. I don’t give them away anymore. I get about 100 small plants a year – I just dig and pot. It takes about 2 hours total. 2k pays my water, cable, phone and internet bills for a year. All on something I was giving away.
While nothing is recession proof. There are several recession resistant husles.

China, India and especially Brazil are the best to me to do business with. I’ve been throwing 100 bucks a week at Ford just stacking the shit up because once this blows over Ford was in the best position. You don’t hear anyone saying Ford should break up or get smaller. They are the strongest American Auto company in the coming years. To find the tariffs its a simple as contacting a Customs Broker in Brazil and you can probably find their tariff rate online.

@Freedom – Ford is $2.58 at the close of the market today. 100 bucks will give you 38 shares and you can do that without worrying about it. I think Ford after this will be about 30 bucks a share so your 100 will be 1000 so it’s worth the risk. They already bailed them out so they are not disappearing it’s just you have to wait til everyone buys cars again in about a year or so.
Your churchiness might come in handy in a don’t give up hotline role I say go for it. But I agree School is the recession buster for now.

@Freedom – I set up a account with Scottrade.com. Usually they have a office down the street or you can do it online. Then you can deposit money kind of like paypal into your scottrade account without going in there to see them. http://www.Scottrade.com . I use them because it’s 7 bucks a trade so you have to pay 7 bucks to buy and you’ll pay 7 bucks to sell but is’ easy and they have offices all over the place and you can manage your account online.

@Freedom – Hey tell everyone Your Welcome. Now I’m not in the Stock Brokerage industry so investigate things for yourself I’m just sharing my own story of what I’m doing. In the whole year Ford was only as high as 8 bucks or so, but I believe if we are watching people fail those who survive will have more market share and thus they will grow and the stock should rise higher.
I investigated that hustle a while ago and if you can take the harvesting of your eggs if your selected it’s a good hustle if you think about it. Now I’m not a woman so I don’t know what all this entails but 5 to 15k a pop is good money at least it sounds like it is.

In ref to the egg donor situ, as someone who has gone through IVF and a FET I can tell you, it is not a cakewalk. You gotta do almost everything I had to do with the IVF, which is stab yourself in the ass and gut several times a day with a lot of drugs for several weeks, give up coffee, alcohol and sex, go back and forth to the docs office sometimes daily giving blood and doing ultrasounds/sonograms and then go under anesthesia for the egg retrieval. It’s painful and worth the amount they pay you for sure, plus it helps someone have a child they may not otherwise have, but it’s not a simple process.
